Aston Warriors Rugby League Club is a rapidly growing rugby league club based in North Birmingham, proudly representing the Aston community. The club is based at Aston Old Edwardians Rugby Club, which serves as the home ground for training sessions, matchdays, and club events. Founded with the aim of developing community rugby league across Birmingham and the wider Midlands, Aston Warriors has quickly established itself as one of the region’s most ambitious and successful rugby league clubs.
Men’s Rugby League Team
The Aston Warriors Men’s Team was established in 2024 and made an immediate impact on the Midlands rugby league scene. In its first two seasons, the team achieved back-to-back winning seasons, finishing with an unbeaten record in the Midlands Merit League. This outstanding performance secured promotion to the Midlands Premier Division for the 2026 season.
The men’s squad continues to grow in strength, attracting players from Birmingham and surrounding areas who are committed to competitive, high-standard rugby league.
Club Expansion in 2026
The 2026 season marks a significant milestone for Aston Warriors Rugby League Club. The club will introduce the Aston Warriors Women’s Team, supporting the continued growth of women’s rugby league in Birmingham and the Midlands.
In addition, the launch of the Aston Warriors Junior Section demonstrates the club’s long-term commitment to grassroots rugby league. The junior programme is focused on youth development, player progression, and increasing participation in rugby league within the local community.
